Your presence in celebration of our love is the most important gift you can give us! We hope that you join us, with or without a physical symbol of the bond we share with you.
We are blessed with many resources. We've also been living together for three years, so we already own a lot of items you might typically give to a newlywed couple. If you would like to give us a material gift, here are some suggestions:
Money is perhaps the most convenient and flexible form of gift giving, and it doesn't take up much space. We have two charititable giving campaigns you can donate to: clean water projects in the developing world through charity:water and microloans for health care providers through Kiva. If you'd prefer the money go to us, contribute to our honeymoon fund by cash, check, PayPal, or Google Wallet.
If you'd like to give us a physical object, peruse this spreadsheet for ideas. If you plan to give us something on the list, put your name or “anonymous” in the Claimed column so we don't end up with seven gravy boats and a dozen Dutch ovens. In the Multiples? column we've indicated whether just one is enough. Used items are great. And, of course, you're not limited to the spreadsheet: the imaginative power of gifting knows no bounds.
Style notes: we both like the color blue, but please diversify color selection–we don't want everything to be blue. We prefer natural fibers for anything that will touch our skin. We like interesting and unusual tools like odd kitchen implements and new ways of cooking.
