if you aint seeing Simon during play, its because you havent caught on
to how much of a massively powerful card he is. :)

you crank Monique for 4 pull and, in response, i crank Simon for
4 influence. this is what Simon does. whenever someone cranks for
pull, Simon can copy that amount and add it to your influence total.

Simon rocks.

note that Simon only duplicates the amount, not steals it like the
Andalusia Dog. also, Simon can only give you influence, not pull.

nothing. :) you may wish to copy the pull of someone with a bigger
number though.

now, the real question is, who in their right mind lets Simon live? :)

No kidding. Suppose Audrey Itsulaaq is in an opponent's
Conspiracy, and that opponent has another Cut-Up and another
Trident Character there as well. When she cranks for Pull,
Simon's owner can crank Simon for a whopping 5 Influence
(1 Pull + 2 Bonus Pull (Trident) + 2 Bonus Pull (Cut-Up)).

A question: can someone Blackmail Audrey into cranking to
generate Pull and crank Simon for Influence? (Our group
had said 'no' because Blackmail causes the player to
treat the Controlled Character as one of the player's
own, and thus it would not be 'an opponent's Character'.
Still, the possible implications were frightening.)

Simon's owner. :-)
