I tried to get the retailers to ask their distributors for it. The most customer-friendly, best game store I know of (Gary's Games) said that they didn't see it on the pre-order sheets. He admited he might have missed it. It looks like you might be having trouble with that big west-coast distributor whose name escapes me now (Berkley something?). Hopefully I will be able to pick it up when I visit my girlfriend in Champaign, IL. _Bear Productions_ is a great game store there. Anyway, sharing in the woes. Hopefully if we apply enough pressure...
