Yes, it shipped to distributors more than a week ago. However, I don't mind
telling you that orders from distributors so far are utterly pathetic. We'd
be really happy if some folks went in to ask their local retailers for the
book, to see if that pulls some more through the distributors. The numbers
looked to me like distributors ordered only the exact number for which they
had pre-orders.

For that matter, if you have trouble getting the book locally, you can mail
order it direct from Atlas Games. U.S. folks can send us $3 for S&H plus
$17.95 for the book to Atlas Games, PO Box 131233, Roseville, MN, 55113; we
can take check or money order. If you need to order by credit card, get in
touch with The Source (missum@winternet.com).

Yep, saw it in my local game store yesterday.

Aw, the Kergillians aren't so bad.....especially broiled with a bit of garlic

I just picked up my copy last night from the Complete Strategist on 33rd
St. in Manhatten. Was hard to see (hidden behind the other OvTE stuff,
which has tough to see shelf placement to begin with) but it was there.

Suppose that you, just for fun, make up a conspiracy theory together with
two of your friends. What if you, after spending some time developing your
joke (your theory), find that one of these friends actually believes in it?
What if your other friend mysteriously disappears? (This is not a
description of the development of the "Over the Edge"-RPG)

In "Foucault's Pendulum" you could read more about this and more about
conspiracies, mysticism, Cabbalistic BASIC-programs, superstition,
trumpets, God, publishers, the Order of Knights Templars, . . . Since this
book was written by Umberto Eco, there is a lot to be found in it.

I called half a dozen game stores in the Seattle area and none of them had
Cloaks (and that is all of the game stores I know of that carry Over The
Edge--actually one said that he stoped). I tried to get the retailers to
ask their distributors for it.
The most customer-friendly, best game store I know of (Gary's Games) said
that they didn't see it on the pre-order sheets. He admited he might have
missed it. It looks like you might be having trouble with that big
west-coast distributor whose name escapes me now (Berkley something?).
Hopefully I will be able to pick it up when I visit my girlfriend in
Champaign, IL. _Bear Productions_ is a great game store there. Anyway,
sharing in the woes. Hopefully if we apply enough pressure...
