Hi, Brendan; welcome to the Edge.

I'm not at all familiar with Thundarr, but I have been playing OTE
since well before I was in A&E, so...

1.	Why did you change technical traits from 0/1/2 to 0/2/3? The
perception that 1 die traits are too wimpy?
Actually, if anything, I'd make technical traits 0/1/3 -- this
would cost the same number of "points" as 2/3/4, and encourage people
with unusual/technical traits to make them superior more than the
current system does. After all, there should be some way of
designating a rank novice in a trait.
2.	I rather like the concept of describing spell effects by
assigning bonus/penalty dice -- attempting spells that are beyond your
ability vastly increases the chance of a botch, and it leaves your
target number free for other stuff, but what DO you want to do with
the target number? For damaging spells, it's easy, however, for your
other spells, it isn't really clear. Also, you don't get into costs,
even though you do specify a Magic Pool equivalent to 3.5x the
magician's rating.
For instance, with Defensive spells, instead of giving
bonus/penalty dice for how good you want the spell to be, I'd do the
following:
The maximum defensive rating is based on the number rolled
(possibly plus a couple of dice if you want to up the power, if not
the skill, of novice mages).
Cost is based on the actual defensive rating chosen (and
increases dramatically when someone tries to push past the spell).
Bonus/penalty dice are assigned due to other factors -- how
many people affected, etc.

Hello, all.

Steve Fritz, a generally cool guy who coordinates Atlas demos in New York, is
looking for someone to run some Over the Edge demonstrations for him,
especially at ICON at the end of March. If you're suitably geographically
located and are interested, drop me an e-mail.

Thanks in advance.
