Caveats: In the Denver metro area, street numbers increase to the north and end in "Ave." 6th Ave is south of 8th Ave. In Golden, street numbers decrease to the north and end in "St." 6th St. is north of 8th St. Golden is at about a 30 degree angle to a N/S/E/W grid. When I say "north" I technically mean "north by northeast," but that would be confusing. Unlike in the rest of the front range, you can't just say "The mountains must be to the west," because Golden is essentially surrounded by mountains. The western mountains feature a big 'M' (white in the day, lit at night) and several large radio towers. The mountains to the east are flat on top and have Clear Creek and Coors Brewery between them.

Busses: Check out RTD for bus schedules. The 16L (16 on weekends), 17, and 44L (weekdays only) run to Golden. They all stop at 10th St. and Washington Ave., so walk the eight blocks instructed by the right hand column in the table above. The G bus goes between Boulder and Golden, but only runs during rush hour.
